I recomend to use pip for python package management.
# apt-get install pip
The pipy recomendation is 1.4aplpha4 version from goobook.
If you are not the brave one of the open source universe,
you can install 1.3 like this
# pip install goobook==1.3
goobook eats .netrc too, so you have to use .goobookrc only if there is some space in your password,
but this should not be the case.

Ubuntu is a mess over Maverick.
I step back to linux mint julia, which uses maverick repos,
and viola spellcheck is working in vi.
I got download error for vi earlier.

Done. It's cool. The links, however, disappeared. They used to be clickable in Gnome-terminal. It's not a problem though. Only the bloody advertisers send html-email.

Install lynx
# sudo apt-get install lynx

set automatic html conversation in your ~/.muttrc
auto_view text/html

and the html mails will get a reasonable face again.

I could, but I would not.
Instead see the official docs here:

Could you write a guide on how to add the 'transmission' module to openwrt on this router?

I could not agree more.

But mostly, the systems where I'm using submodules, have no Unix. No OS at all, for that matter. So the only way to reuse software is submodules.

But I have a dream that one day even the automotive industry, an industry sweltering with the heat of using the most horrible and bloated proprietary tools, an industry sweltering with the heat of producing the most secretive and unmaintainable firmware, will be transformed into an oasis of free speech, free beer and Unix.

It's nice to have submodule support, but I want to share one of mine off worker experience with you.

The submodule is a reusable piece of work, just like package.
So my next steps in my thought are maybe uneccassery for you.

Do not use submodules, use packages as reusable code distributions, use your UNIX as software development tool.
pkg-config --cflags is your friend.

Even if you have to develop a monolite you can work from small piece units.
Do not use your version control system as a distribution tool, too. That's why UNIX for.
Keep it KISS.

another option is to mount the usr partition on your hard drive to somewhere else (eg: /mnt/usr) and then invoke:
mount -o move /mnt/usr /usr
Perhaps it is cleaner then directly mounting it over an existing mount point.
